KEY FEATURES
The Performance programme for Women’s Lacrosse covers the 1st and 2nd BUCS team. Each athlete within this programme receives access to:
- Pre-season training programme.
- 4 x on pitch training sessions every week.
- 2 x S&C sessions per week with a UKSCA accredited S&C coach.
- Weekly BUCS matches with the women's teams playing in Premier South.
- Olympic format Sixes training and annual BUCS lacrosse Sixes competition.
HEAD OF LACROSSE Michael Molster
Michael is the current Head Coach for the England Women’s National Team and arrives at Exeter with over 30 years of lacrosse coaching experience. Having coached at numerous levels within the sport, including international and US collegiate, Michael brings a wealth of lacrosse knowledge and will bring international-level standards to Exeter Lacrosse.
With England Lacrosse, Michael has won bronze medals coaching the women’s senior team at the 2022 world championships and the U19 women’s team in 2015. He recently guided England to the 2024 European Lacrosse Championship Gold Medal. Michael is also coaching the Lacrosse Sixes game, the sport’s Olympic format, for Team England and last year was Head Coach of the Rise at The Fly. As Head Coach of the England National Team, Michael is charged with building a solid program at all levels of lacrosse in the country while developing the sport at the highest level.
Coming to Exeter from the US, Michael is a former NCAA Division 1 assistant at Penn State, Towson and Johns Hopkins universities. He has coached numerous Division I All-Americans and All-Conference players, and his teams made multiple appearances in the NCAA tournament. He hails from Annapolis, Maryland and holds a Sports and Recreation Management degree.

The University of Exeter Sports Scholarship Scheme is one of the most prestigious in the UK, providing a comprehensive programme of support and financial benefits for exceptionally talented student athletes. Scholarships are awarded annually to those who show evidence of competing at international level and receive:
- Up to £3,000 financial support
- Strength and Conditioning
- A support package worth up to £3,500
- Athlete lifestyle support
- Individual sports mentoring
Scholarship applications are open from 31st October – 31st May each year. Sporting scholarships will be considered for athletes selected into an international pathway (U20 and above).

FACILITIES
The Women’s Lacrosse programme has access to a wide variety of facilities and services that ensures continued development through the year. The sports park features a high quality all-weather 4G and a sand pitch that is suitable for a variety of different sporting activities. This gives players a variety of places to train and an opportunity to train and compete on different surfaces.
Furthermore, the programme benefits from access to the Athlete Development Centre (ADC), a bespoke high performance training facility where tailored strength and conditioning programmes are delivered, along with access for recovery sessions and equipment.
STUDYING AT EXETER
The University of Exeter is renowned for its academic excellence, establishing itself in the top 1% of Universities worldwide (The Times World University Rankings) and placing 19th in The Complete University Guide UK rankings.
The University has four campuses, two in Cornwall with two in Exeter, closely located to the thriving commercial city centre and large St David’s train station. The University currently has around 23,000 students, of which almost 5,000 are international students. In total, the University hosts students from over 130 different countries making for a truly vibrant and inclusive academic community.
ALICE RIPPER
Alice is a recent graduate of Exeter, was a 2-time 1st Team captain and an integral part of our lacrosse program and its leadership. Ripper is a current member of both the England Performance Team and the GB Sixes Lacrosse (Olympic) program with numerous CAPS for both squads. For England, she was a member of the gold medal winning team at the 2024 European Championship team. This past winter she represented Great Britain in Hong Kong at the World Lacrosse Super Sizes. In the fall Alice will be continuing her education and lacrosse playing career at NCAA perennial power University of North Carolina in the US.
