Professor Claire Dunlop
Professor of Politics and Public Policy
I am a political scientist and, specifically, a public policy and administration scholar. My main research interests are the politics of expertise and knowledge utilisation; epistemic communities and advisory politics; risk governance; policy learning and analysis; impact assessment; and policy narratives. I explore these conceptual interests at the UK and EU levels principally, and most frequently in relation to agricultural, food and environmental issues. Most recently, I have started to research LGBT legislation in the UK.

I have a problem-orientated and applied research agenda that draws upon and contributes towards the governance, state, sustainable development, and administrative traditions literatures (amongst others).
