We believe in holding conversations that matter; creating a space in which leaders get to engage with the ideas at the fore of positive change in business and society and this is reflected in our guest speaker series.


Designed for business leaders and professionals with an interest in responsible leadership, the series brings together some of the most prestigious thinkers leading social and environmental change. Thinkers who share their insights, experience and creative strategies to drive positive innovation across a range of sectors. Our delegates come away with a fresh perspective on world issues and practical advice on how to apply this cutting-edge thinking to their lives.

Margaret Heffernan.

Dr Margaret Heffernan

Dr Margaret Heffernan shared insights from her new book Unchartered: How to Map the Future Together in which she challenged readers to think differently about planning for a future that is volatile and unpredictable. Margaret is a Professor of Practice at the University of Bath, Lead Faculty for the Forward Institute’s Responsible Leadership Programme and through Merryck & Co., mentors CEOs and senior executives of major global organisations.

Henry Timms

Henry Timms is President and CEO of the Lincoln Centre – the world’s leading performing arts center and co-founder of #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving founded as an antidote to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. He spoke about his journey from growing up in Heavitree in Exeter to the heady heights of New York, where he has become an award-winning author, business leader and expert in the concept of “new power”.

John Amaechi.

John Amaechi OBE

John Amaechi is a respected organisational psychologist, best-selling New York Times author, executive coach and CEO of APS Ltd. In 2019 John was recognised as one of HR’s most influential thinkers by HR Magazine. John is the first Briton to have a career in the NBA. John shared his story about overcoming adversity and helped audience members develop clear strategies to overcome their own challenges.

We host a wealth of high-profile guests throughout the year who run workshops with our students using innovative and engaging techniques, including orchestra Leader, Simon Blendis of London Mozart Players.

MBA students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, including exclusive use of the recently refurbished MBA Suite, located in the heart of the Business School on the University of Exeter’s beautiful Streatham Campus.

Our innovative online learning environments also provide a wide range of educational support and inclusive learning resources meaning that we excel in our education delivery, whether face-to-face or online.
