Undergraduate Final Year Timeline

Term One

Apply: Applications for many graduate schemes open and close this term. Need help? Book skills sessions on Handshake.

Attend: Our careers fairs to find out about different organisations and opportunities – ask questions about roles and recruitment processes.

Research: Thinking of applying for Postgraduate study? It’s time to research courses and universities. Talk to your Tutor, and get help with your statement from us.

Term Two

Apply: If you haven’t applied for roles yet, now’s the time to start, and if you’re already applying, keep doing so. We can help you throughout the job search and application process.

Accept: That it’s OK to feel unsure if it feels like students around you are securing their graduate jobs, and you aren’t. We can help you get to where you want to go, talk to us and find out how.

Term Three

Apply: Don’t have a graduate job secured? It’s not too late to apply to late opening or rolling schemes.

Celebrate: Get ready to graduate! Reflect on what you’ve learned and achieved during your time at university, this can really help you at job interviews. Keep in touch with us and the Alumni Team.

Think: About your personal brand – do you have a full Handshake and/or LinkedIn profile? Is your CV sharp and up-to-date, check your achievements are all covered in your transcripts.
