Exhibition
The participation of local artists in the project enhances the culture, heritage, creative life and economy of the South West. By working collaboratively with artists, the Project aims to enhance regional development and wellbeing.
Education and student experience
The Project creates new educational opportunities, contributes to student experience and supports discussions about issues that affect our community. Embedding the Project in the curriculum prepares students to become active global citizens.
Project overview – short film
The short film ensures that the Project is disseminated and translated for the public good. The short film also provides insights into the role of intercultural dialogue and translations in transcending international boundaries and helping to tackle climate emergency.

Climate Art Trails is a pilot project developed by Dr Natália Pinazza, Senior Lecturer in Latin American and Lusophone Studies (in the Department of Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies at the University of Exeter), in partnership with the Environment Agency.
Partnerships
The partnership with the Environment Agency and alumni increases knowledge transfer and the impact of the project. By focusing on a local climate adaptation project, the Project supports the South West in becoming an international hub for nature recovery.
Project’s Artwork
This illustration by Guime provides a guide to using the Climate Art Trails app, showing how users can discover routes to climate adaptation project sites, navigate trails, access key information about these projects, and record their own findings. Through visual imagery, the piece communicates how the Climate Art Trails app encourages reflection on sustainability, resilience, and future action.
